HELP!! My Lexmark printer is driving me crazy!?
I’m trying to install a Lexmark x5250 printer to my laptop because i desperatly need to print off stuff for my photography coursework.
I went to the shop this morning to get new black & colour ink for it. I then installed it to my family computer. But my laptop, although it was connected to the network and recognised the printer, wouldn’t let me print with it.
Now, I have tried to install it directly to my laptop using a usb cable. I downloaded the drivers needed from the lexmark website. The printer is now my default printer, but it won’t print. I think it’s connected because it recognises everytime i unplugged the printer.

Uninstall your printer and unplug your printer from your laptop !
Switch off you laptop then switch your laptop back on you should have no printer showing in your default.
Now plug your printer back in,(plug and play should find new divice) with your laptop switched on this should show up as new hardware or new device or give you the printer name .
there should be a bubble pop up click on that .
install your drivers from that point .
I have had the same problem with other lexmarks printers even had to go as far as putting the drivers on a CD so when it asked for have disc
